Gold was one of the earliest materials worked by man and we have treasured it ever since for its color texture and malleability allowing in to be shaped, sculptured and molded into beautiful pieces of art the most important of these have always been jewelry and then especially rings.

Gold is a soft but non-reactive metal meaning it is easy to melt at low temperatures and can easily be shaped, this allows intricate designs as well as engravings on gold rings making them ideal if you want something a little different with either your own or a jewelers design on. Gold also wont react with chemicals or with moisture, this means that unlike some metals like nickel you wont get any marks from your gold ring and it will last a long time not being damaged by daily use.

Gold is not just available in a golden yellow color, the shade of yellow gold itself varies from a dark yellow almost brown to a very light yellow, white gold though has a color similar to silver or platinum but with even more luster. Rose gold such as much gold that comes from Wales is actually a beautiful shade of brown or even nearly red. These colors can be used either separately or together to make a multicolored gold ring with different colors used to make detail clearer.
